AI blueprint takeoff

AI blueprint takeoff is the automated extraction of quantities from construction plan sets using artificial intelligence. The software reads a drawing the way an estimator would: it interprets the legend, detects symbols (fixtures, devices, diffusers, equipment), traces pipe and duct runs, and reads schedules, then compiles the results into a bill of quantities ready for pricing. Work that traditionally took hours of manual counting and on-screen measuring is reduced to minutes, and every counted item can be traced back to its location on the sheet for verification. Accuracy still depends on plan quality and human review — good tools make it easy to audit and correct the AI's counts rather than accept them blindly.
