DesignFlow Build started with people who ran construction work, not a software thesis. Before writing a line of code, the founding team lived the standard contractor stack: estimates in Excel, schedules in one tool, accounting in another, and a nine-month ERP implementation that ended with the office quietly going back to spreadsheets because the new system was slower than the old habits.

So we built the tool we needed and could never buy. Two constraints have shaped every product decision since. First, one data model: an estimate, a schedule change, a field report, and an invoice are the same project data, not four copies to reconcile. Second, speed to value: a contractor has to be live in 2–4 weeks, self-onboarded, without a consulting engagement. If a feature needs a consultant to explain it, it does not ship. That is what #BuiltByBuilders means here — not a slogan, a filter.

What the platform is

DesignFlow Build is a construction ERP with AI built into the core rather than bolted on. AI takeoff reads plan sets and counts quantities in minutes. Estimating, bid management, CPM scheduling, job costing, progress billing, payroll, and a true general ledger all work from the same records, so a change made in the field shows up in the financials without re-entry. The result is field-to-finance visibility from a single system instead of a stack of point tools held together with exports.

Who we serve

Our customers are general contractors, MEP and specialty subcontractors, and engineering firms — mostly companies that have outgrown QuickBooks and spreadsheets but have no appetite for a six-figure, multi-quarter ERP rollout. They are professionals who know their business better than any vendor does, so the product stays out of the way: plain workflows, published pricing, and software the whole company can actually use, from the foreman to the CFO.
