Proposal formatting (per-line)

Per-line proposal formatting is control over how one individual estimate line prints on the customer's proposal, set on the line itself rather than on the document as a whole. The usual controls are a highlight, bold or italic text, a rule drawn below the line, a page break before it, and a short note printed under the row. Because the marks belong to the line rather than to a generated PDF, they survive what an estimate actually goes through — revisions, new versions, duplicating or pasting a line — instead of having to be reapplied by hand every time the document is regenerated, and they print the same way whichever table layout the proposal uses. The point is practical: an estimator can direct a reader to the two or three lines that decide the bid without leaving the estimate to hand-edit a PDF. A line note is customer-facing and is left out of a subcontractor's trade package.
